PROJECT: Large new build housing development

SUMMARY: New build housing consisting of 162no. Two/three/four-bedroom houses with a mix of in-curtilage parking and garages alongside extensive public realm works including new highways and community square. A HCA disposal site, the scheme was awarded to Kier and Triangle through competitive tender. The proposals were developed over some time to maximise the development potential of the difficult existing site topography and constraints alongside HCA aspirations. As s a result the proposals have created character areas with variation in elevational treatments and landscaping within the public realm to emphasise a clear street hierarchy.

SERVICES: Full architectural services for Rochdale Boroughwide Housing, from inception to completion. All construction drawings for the contractor at post-contract stage.

Pre-planning work by Triangle also included options appraisals and extensive community consultation.
